Digital Transformation: Omnichannel Sales Order Management System
The Challenge: Overcoming Technical Debt & Scaling for the S/4HANA Future
The legacy ERP and Order Management environment lacked the agility to support modern omnichannel capabilities, requiring expensive, high-friction modifications for every new feature. The dual challenge was to architect a next-generation Omnichannel Order Management System (OMS) that was natively compatible with the upcoming SAP S/4HANA migration, while simultaneously spearheading a massive organizational shift from Waterfall to Agile delivery methodologies. This required navigating deep technical debt while building a culture of continuous deployment and cross-functional product ownership.
The Strategy: Future-Proofing through Agile Maturity & Plug-and-Play Architecture
To deliver a scalable global solution, I designed a transformation strategy centred on System Integration & Compatibility and Agile Governance:
Modular Integration Framework: Developed a 'Plug-and-Play' integration architecture. By building standardized interfaces across markets, we eliminated the need for bespoke code, significantly reducing deployment risk for Europe, Canada, China, and Japan.
Agile Transition Roadmap: Orchestrated the structural shift from traditional project silos to Agile Product Teams. This involved defining the transition strategy, establishing Sprint cycles, and fostering a 'Fail-Fast' culture through structured retrospectives.
Early-Stage Operational Alignment: Involved operations and infrastructure teams at the requirements phase to ensure that the digital 'vision' was operationally viable and supportable at a global scale."
My Role: Digital Transformation Leader.
I led the end-to-end delivery framework, bridging the gap between high-level digital vision and technical execution. My leadership included:
Global Team Orchestration: Directed a cross-functional team of 100+ specialists (Developers, Agile Coaches, Tech Leads, and Business Owners) across multiple time zones to drive a unified global deployment.
Full-Lifecycle Governance: Owned the roadmap from creative workshops and requirement gathering to user story definition and testing methodologies. I implemented a robust deployment strategy that shortened testing cycles and accelerated feature velocity.
Budget Ownership: Managed and controlled an annual Project CAPEX Budget of €5M – €10M, ensuring 100% financial transparency and the strategic allocation of capital toward high-impact digital priorities."
The Impact: A Global Engine for Seamless Brand Experiences.
The delivery of the state-of-the-art OMS established the digital foundation for the brand’s global growth:
Accelerated Time-to-Market: By creating a continuous feedback loop between Product Owners and Dev teams, we significantly reduced the end-to-end testing cycle, allowing for faster deployment of customer-facing features.
Global Omnichannel Capability: Successfully enabled innovative fulfilment services (Ship-from-Store, Click & Collect) across four major global markets, providing the foundation for a seamless, high-touch consumer journey.
Technical Readiness: Delivered a robust, future-proof system architecture that integrated seamlessly with SAP S/4HANA, effectively eliminating legacy technical debt.
Agile Transformation at Scale: Successfully matured the organization’s delivery capability, moving from rigid Waterfall cycles to a high-velocity, iterative Agile environment."

Tech Project: Implementing a global Warehouse Management System
The Challenge: Eliminating Operational Fragmentation for a Global Supply Chain.
The global distribution network had some fragmentation, with systems that needed to be standardized across 20 multichannel distribution centres as reporting, maintenance, and system integrations were not scalable. With the impending SAP S/4HANA migration, the business faced a critical need to standardize its global infrastructure. The challenge was to modernize the Manhattan WMS environment across the entire DC network, creating a unified integration layer that could support the current and future system integrations and enhancements.
The Strategy: Global Standardization & Governance Architecture
To transition from a fragmented landscape to a unified global engine, I engineered a strategy focused on system lean-optimization and governance:
Standardized Application Interface: Developed global standards for application integrations (TIBCO, OMS, WMS). This eliminated custom, one-off code and ensured that every distribution centre was 'S/4HANA-ready.'
Centralized Release Management: Implemented a global governance process for system upgrades and maintenance. This moved the organization away from ad-hoc DC updates toward a synchronized, predictable release cycle.
Strategic Decommissioning: Conducted a global audit to identify redundant legacy systems. By streamlining the tech stack, we consolidated service contracts and significantly reduced the global IT footprint.
My Role: Infrastructure Transformation & Portfolio Governance
I led a cross-functional global team of 60+ technical experts, managing the strategic roadmap for multichannel distribution centres. My leadership focused on:
System Complexity Reduction: Directed the optimization of IT solutions across 20 adidas-owned centers, successfully decreasing system complexity by 23%.
Global Operational Oversight: Authored the global upgrade and maintenance strategy, providing the roadmap for regional teams to execute synchronized system refreshes.
Financial Engineering: Managed a €10 Million CAPEX budget, achieving significant cost savings through resource optimization and the consolidation of global vendor contracts."
The Impact: Scaling Efficiency and Reducing Global Tech Debt
The standardization project transformed the global supply chain into a high-velocity, cost-efficient competitive advantage:
30% Improvement in Operational Efficiency: The implementation of centralized release management allowed the business to deploy updates faster and with significantly fewer system outages.
Cost Transformation: Achieved substantial year-on-year savings by decommissioning legacy systems and negotiating consolidated global service agreements.
S/4HANA Readiness: Delivered a fully standardized integration layer, ensuring the global distribution network was prepared for the next generation of SAP ERP without further expensive modifications.
Agile Global Reporting: By standardizing data outputs across 20 centres, the business gained real-time, global visibility into stock movement and fulfilment performance.

The Challenge: Scaling Digital Commerce into Complex Non-EU Markets
The objective was to extend the brand's digital reach into Switzerland and Norway—high-value markets with unique import, export, and duty requirements that deviate from standard EU trade protocols. The strategic challenge lay in architecting a localized eCommerce infrastructure that could absorb complex customs and tax regulations without compromising on fulfilment speed, delivery reliability, or the transparency of the consumer returns process.
The Strategy: Localized Infrastructure & Frictionless Trade Integration
To ensure a seamless market entry, we implemented a strategy centred on regulatory compliance and logistical agility:
Multilingual Experience Framework: Directed the technical localized navigation and site language strategy across four languages (English, German, French, and Italian) to ensure cultural and regional relevance.
Fiscal & Legal Architecture: Orchestrated the end-to-end legal and financial setup, ensuring the buying and receiving entities were fully compliant with Swiss and Norwegian tax and customs law from day one.
Optimized Carrier Ecosystem: Strategically identified and negotiated partnership terms with local Swiss carriers and global integrators like Metapack. This ensured that cross-border duty requirements were handled 'back-of-house,' keeping the front-end consumer experience as fast and frictionless as a domestic delivery.
My Role: End-to-End Market Expansion Lead
I led a cross-functional team of 30 specialized professionals, managing the project lifecycle from initial requirements gathering to go-live. My leadership focused on:
Cross-Functional Orchestration: Managed the integration between European Distribution Centres, technical dev teams, and legal experts to ensure a unified approach to market entry.
